In plain English
This project does not yet have legal status in Thailand. We are not saying that we do.
Right now, all we are doing is talking, informally and in a friendly way, with students, artists, teachers and universities. We are not taking work, not taking money, and not putting anything firm in the calendar in Thailand until the permissions exist. Please do not ask us to.
We want to follow every rule. That is not a formality for us. The whole idea only works if it is built properly and can keep running after we are gone.
What is real
- A memorandum of collaboration signed with Chiang Mai University in 2025, which is a statement of intent, not a program.
- A working ceramics and arts studio in Powell River, Canada, running paid workshops.
- A Canadian teacher, BC certified, with 18 years in French immersion education.
- Conversations in Powell River with schools, galleries and community organizations about hosting a visiting Thai educator.
What is not real yet
- Thai work and business permissions.
- Any Thai institution formally sponsoring the program.
- Any scheduled placement, class or performance in Thailand.
What we are asking for
One thing above all others: a Thai institution willing to sponsor this. A university, a college, a school or a temple that will put its name to the program so the paperwork can begin.

Why we are saying this out loud
Plenty of foreign projects arrive in Thailand and do not mention any of this. We would rather be the ones who put it on the front page, so that anyone deciding whether to talk to us knows exactly what they are dealing with.
